my office is LAN network ..which my department is a confidential one wher i created a domain with a password…eventhough it is made employes from other department are also accessing my domain n the shared things from my domain and the peoples in my domain are visible n accesible for outsiders (domain)..how to prevent access from other domain members..when other domain members are in administrator login they r accesible when there is user login they r unable to access own domain.. am using windows 2000 server os ..for clients win xp…pls help me in this regard..thanks in advance.

The only way to really nail a lid on this one is to run TCPIP only and disable IPX/SPX and net-bui protocols, set up windows “group Policies” and further, you need to learn how to use “sub-net masking” to set up non-routable IP addresses. your win2k server should have instructions in the help indexes you can search under the headings I gave you.

Hope this helps.
